Jerry and the Chipmunks
I like soundboards but, this source is at least a half step to high. Could have been from the cassette gen. The terrible tape flips and cuts couldn't be fixed if you tried. All the audience sources are close to standard tuning.
The show is
o.k. good playing but, Healy is out of control. I know it's Halloween but, wow! L.L.Rain is a little much.

I like my Dead WEIRD
Yeah, yeah, this isn't the most polished show... but it's a helluva lot of fun! A Funiculi>Space>Werewolves opener, with a bunch of mindf$%* effects? Sign me up for two!
The DFOB source might be a little cooler, though, as you can hear the audience freakin', which just adds to the fun, IMHO.
Although the SBD has nice stereo separation... so whatever you prefer.

sound
people do go off on tangents here about memories, which is cool, but you should always at least give the sound a review, after all, that is what this site is for.
this particular show: B+
thick, full sound, but not crispy clean, little bassy with a lishgt hiss in the background. decent board though...
o yea, werewovles is always fun! Awsome midi effects by Jer

Great Show
I thought this show was fantastic. The entire aura of the event was a trip. From the great set design with jack-o-lanterns to people in the strangist of costumes, it was surreal, better than the preceeding Fox shows. It rained like hell and the looks like rain fit right in. Hurricane Gloria traveled with the Dead that tour as well. The Shakedown Street was great and the Jam in Ship of Fools was prime. Maybe not up to the following Richmond shows but I thought it was a really inspired even, worth checking out.

OOOWWW Werewolves of London
A GREAT Space opens up, eerie, comical, disturbing, what a treat, what follows is a TRICK. an awful Werewolves, forgotten words, verses. the rest of the show fluctuates in energy level. Dr Mr Fantasy out of second space is cool. It looks good on paper, but i never manage to listen to the whole thing all the way through. Its just that unbearable.

don't bother
I haven't heard this source, but this was the worst Dead show I ever saw (60+ shows), although the opening Werewolves of London was a novelty. Get the 2nd night at the Fox or one of the Richmond shows instead.
